We’re big fans of being hands-on at Songbirds Effects. We were raised on Legos. We build pedals, amps, and guitars, after all. There’s always a tinkering project on a workbench somewhere. We wanted to bring an incredible-sounding, useful pedal to the market that also had a wistful, playful, and tactile quality. Enter, the Reactor Core.

This effect is a ton of fun, and we’re super excited to show it to you! The Reactor Core is a lovely overdrive and distortion box that sounds like a vintage tube amp breaking up. When cranked, it can sound like a dimed Fender Tweed Deluxe, and at more conservative settings, it produces natural overdrive that is perfect for classic rhythm playing and tasty leads. It is a versatile and useful dirtbox that stacks and plays nicely with other pedals.

The single knob controls volume. But what’s with all that other stuff?
The included mini crate on pedal’s top plate houses four different electrical fuses that have been color-coded.
Each fuse produces a different gain or overdrive characteristic. Simply insert a fuse into the center holder and enjoy the resulting tones! We love experimentation, so try all the fuses and see which one fits your playing style the best!

The Reactor Core includes four unique fuses, but more are available as an upgrade. Let us know if you are interested in an additional fuse pack to take your Reactor Core to the next level.
