Maravilla - Germanium Preamp/Overdrive

Maravilla is a germanium preamp and overdrive pedal with a sound and feel unlike anything in its class. Warm without being muddy. Open without being thin. Overdriven without losing itself. Building on my first pedal release, a two-knob boost/overdrive (same heart as Pre/Post in this new version), I've added additional controls and features based on real-world community feedback. I think this pedal sounds as good as it looks. It's super responsive to dynamics and has lots of clean headroom before heading into overdrive territory. The Pre/Post controls are the heart of the heart of the pedal and are highly interactive with one another. Lots of control and range but not complicated to dial in. Just fun to play. The sound: Built around vintage germanium transistors — components with a natural softness and harmonic richness that silicon doesn't replicate Responds to how hard you play: stays open and clear at lower gain, blooms into warm organic saturation when pushed Onboard audio transformer adds natural compression, tactile low-end weight, and subtle saturation when driven hard The controls: Pre / Post — independent gain control into each germanium stage; stack them for harmonic complexity. Adjust Pre to dial in some clean headroom and subtle color; Post to add a bit more low end, gain/distortion, and saturate the audio transformer for unique and dynamic clipping. Pre tends to be brighter, Post more full-bodied as it is turned up. Tone / Mid — sculpt the body of the sound; controls interact for precise tonal shaping. Mid can add a bit of weight/bass to the sound. Air — presence-style control that adds openness and definition; makes the circuit breathe at higher settings. Offsets a mirky EQ. Loud — master output level, independent of drive. Maravilla is designed to be intuitive with the least amount of knobs as possible while offering the most amount of flexibility. Turn the knobs to ear. Can be used before or after most pedals, but I like it first in chain for the playing dynamics and for driving other pedals.
