Metro

The Metro is a mid-gain, op-amp based overdrive. Inspired by the “transparent” overdrive movement of Paul Cochrane, this overdrive is intended to bring out all the richness and depth of your amp(s) with little to no coloration. Of course, if you want some added flavor – this overdrive has got you covered.

With an added clipping toggle and mid-eq contour, this drive can also take on a personality of its own and give your amp(s) some additional character. The Metro was designed with the intention of being the ultimate always-on overdrive pedal. With plenty of gain on tap and the added options and flexibility, this may just be the last drive you buy!

LEVEL : Controls the overall volume of the overdriven signal.
GAIN : Controls the gain structure of the overdrive by manipulating the feedback-loop of the first stage op-amp
TONE : Controls the amount of treble frequencies in the amplified signal. Turning the knob clockwise adds more treble while turning the knob counterclockwise removes treble from the signal.
DIODE TOGGLE: Toggles on/off the hard-clipping diodes. Down (off) is an open, uncompressed drive and up (on) is a shunted, compressed distortion - just be sure to turn the LEVEL knob up to make-up some of that lost volume.
MIDS TOGGLE: Toggles between two different eq curves. In the down (off) position, the eq curve of the mid-frequencies is flat and transparent. In the up (on) position, the mid-frequencies get boosted for a more pronounced sound in a mix.

This pedal is powered with a standard, center-negative 9V power supply. Daisy chain power supplies are not recommended. For the best user experience, an isolated power supply is recommended for powering all Awestruck Amplification pedals.
