Our take on the classic fuzz face, the Loblolly features independently biasable silicon and germanium transistor pairs to let you select the fuzz shape you desire.

Black metal can GE transistors harvested from a 1960's Conn Serenade organ right here in our studio for the classic rounded germanium fuzz sound
New Old Stock TI BC108 transistors provide a harder edge, with more aggressive clipping for a more modern fuzz

Springwood FX is a small batch hand painted effects business made up by builder, David, and artist, Brooke. We focus on making sounds we want to use and hear in the studio ourselves. Deeply inspired by our natural surroundings on our small acreage in Georgia, every batch is themed seasonally to reflect what we see just outside our window. All releases are limited runs, and once they’re gone, they’re really gone!
